Effective date: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Latch mobile application ("Latch", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Latch, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Latch is a personal, self-imposed app-locker. You choose your own apps and restrict your own access to them for periods you set in advance, using your device's built-in Screen Time (iOS) or usage-access and overlay features (Android). Latch is a tool for your own digital wellbeing; it is not a parental-control or monitoring product.
Latch adds friction to impulsive choices. It cannot guarantee that an app stays blocked in every situation — on Android in particular, force-stopping Latch or an aggressive battery optimizer can end enforcement. Latch is a commitment aid, not a security control.
Use Latch only for restricting your own apps on your own device. Do not attempt to use it to control or monitor another person's device.
Latch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that enforcement will be uninterrupted or effective in every circumstance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Latch and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any consequence of an app being blocked or not blocked.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
